Hello friends! I really appreciate everyone’s contribution to my conundrum last week. As a refresher, I was struggling to find the word I wanted to reflect on this year. The closet word I think of was contentment. Some of the words you all shared were: intentional, aware, settled, present, reality, peace, beauty, and simplicity. Such beautiful words. I meditated on them this week and decided that the word that best encompassed all of those words in my life is “Quiet.” I have no desire to be still this year, but I do want to take it all in and process it.
A Few Obsessions From This Week
I saw the cover to All The Horses In Iceland this week and was so entranced I tracked down the Illustrator, Erin Vest. Here’s the cover without the type over it.
I was listening to the latest episode of 3 Point Perspective podcast and really liked Lee White’s plan to divide his goals for the year into quarterly deadlines. I agree that giving yourself 3 months to work on a project is enough time to finish without feeling the panic of feeling behind right from the beginning.
This year I’d like to submit an entry for the Federal Duck Stamp contest. While doing some research I came across some satirical entries made from a time when a hunting scene was required to be added.
