ISSUE 174: It's Not Panicking If It's On Purpose
Hello readers! I’ve been toying with sharing a several part story that I wrote and illustrated in 2020. I’d shared it on Instagram in 2020… and honestly, it’s the kind of story I need to reread this year. I’m still excited to share comics, but I think I’d like to branch out occasionally and share some other stories too.
All going well, over the next few weeks I’ll be sharing the Yuletide Tea story here, which will line up perfectly with a Christmas ending!
A Few Obsessions From This Week
I recently bought a bunch of zines by Dan Zettwoch. Boy is his work neat! His combination of typography and visuals is a feast for the eyes. I especially like the zine on woodpeckers. He also maintains a blog that is quite inspiring.
I am enchanted by Natalya Balnova’s silkscreened zines. The Marie Antoinette Guillotine Letter shows a real mastery in a limited pallet.
