Hi everyone! I’m pleased to share that my hat garden has sprouted. That felt like half the battle. I planted it on a Sunday, it rained heavily on Tuesday, and by this past Sunday I have lots of new friends. I believe the spelt is supposed to grow a little bit, go dormant for the winter, then in the spring grow some more. I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll have enough straw to make my hat by the end.
I’m not the only fan of the garden; Connor told me that he really loves it too… because now he doesn’t have to mow that part of the yard.
A Few Obsessions From This Week
My spelt has sprouted! I’ve never really gardened before, so this is a new, exciting experience.
